Join us each week as Peak Pilates Master Trainers Colleen Glenn and Clare Dunphy demonstrate the proper techniques of a Classical Pilates Mat exercise. While offering complementary professional guidance, they will review useful tips for both Pilates instructors and enthusiasts alike.
Beginning with an introductory step-by-step setup of each unique exercise, the Master Trainers will provide detail demonstrations of the common errors a student may make, as well as simple solutions to correct them. Their comprehensive advice will exhibit the proper spotting techniques of each exercise for instructors, as well as discussing the benefits to body and mind with each fluid movment.
This week's exercise: Front Lunge
Peak Pilates Master Trainer Clare Dunphy demonstrates the Front Lunge, a beginner lunging exercise designed to strengthen the hips, hamstrings, lower legs and spine. Front Lunge also works in aligning the entire body.
NOTE: Front Lunge is the final exercise offered in the Level-I mat series. Join us next week when we begin a new series, Level-I reformer. Throughout this series Peak Pilates Master Trainer Colleen Glenn will provide tips for the proper setup and execution of each reformer exercise.
